Very interesting 1812 Plantation Home. Jefferson Davis ate his last meal there prior to his final cabinet meeting.
It takes you back in time to see how people lived in the 1800. Nice people who guide you through. Great if you love history of S.C..
I love visiting this house. It is such an amazing place of history. While slavery was a dark time in our nation's history, being able to visit a place that is preserved and from that era is humbling. I am glad that future generations will be able to learn about our past, and hopefully make a better future because of it. This is a great place to bring a bagged lunch, and just sit around and enjoy the quietness and serenity that this place provides.
